Build this maple

A stout trunk forking low into a dense oval crown, famous for its fall color. As proposed, the maple tree is 3,200 triangles at 11.5 m, with foliage as clumps of leaves. You can take it from 8 to 15 m, and every other control stays within what a maple tree can be.

Maples are known for fall color. Set the greens to red and orange and you have New England, Canada, or a Japanese garden in November. Leave them green and it's the shade tree on a suburban street or in a schoolyard. The tree has a stout trunk that forks low into a dense oval crown. The crown is fuller and rounder than an oak's, so the whole tree looks neater.

Most of the adjusting happens in the crown. Clump count and size fill it out, and the two-color ramp sets the season, either red to orange or a dark green to a lighter one. Keep the trunk short so the crown dominates. For a fall scene, build three maples in different reds and mix them, because a forest that's all one red looks painted. The sapling version is a thin stem with a few clumps, which suits a newly planted street or a nursery.

The export is a zip with OBJ, STL and 3MF. The OBJ uses the shared palette texture and has flat normals in the file.
