Low poly willow tree, built to your size
A drooping curtain of foliage. Boughs spread wide and twigs hang straight down. As proposed, the willow tree is 830 triangles at 9.0 m, with foliage as hanging leaves. You can take it from 7 to 11 m, and every other control stays within what a willow tree can be.
Nothing else in the builder hangs the way a willow does, so it's easy to recognize even at low poly. The boughs spread wide and the twigs drop straight down toward the ground. Put it by a pond, on a riverbank, along a mill stream or a moat, or in the graveyard of a gothic level. The shape suggests water even when there's none in the scene.
The main control is droop. Turn it all the way up for a weeping willow over water, and use less for a rougher willow on a bank. Hanging leaves cost more triangles than clumps, so plan on placing a few willows and not a whole forest of them. The greens should stay pale and silvery. Billboards are worth selecting for this species. LOD2 wraps the foliage in one hull, and a hanging shape loses more in that wrap than a round crown does.

- Boughs: count, rings or spiral, where they leave the trunk, angle, length, thickness, curve, and twigs.
- Foliage: style, size, spread, complexity (your triangle budget) and two greens.
- Export: LOD1 and LOD2, sapling and young versions, dead, stump, felled, logs and billboards.
The export is a zip with OBJ, STL and 3MF. The OBJ uses the shared palette texture and has flat normals in the file.
